Ukraine Design Data Joins EUIPO DesignView Database

The European Union Intellectual Property Office announced the integration of Ukrainian industrial design data into DesignView, its centralized database for designs. The update took effect following cooperation between EUIPO and the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations.

DesignView now includes records from Ukraine, expanding access for examiners, applicants, and rights holders across participating jurisdictions. The platform serves as a key tool for searching prior designs and assessing novelty.

The move supports harmonization efforts and facilitates cross-border protection strategies. Users can query the combined dataset to identify potential conflicts or opportunities in the European and Ukrainian markets.

This integration aligns with ongoing initiatives to strengthen IP infrastructure in the region. It provides a single point of access without requiring separate national searches.
