Screendollars Sues Sirius XM Over Star Logo Trademark

Screendollars LLC filed the complaint on or around July 6, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The plaintiff alleges that Sirius XM and its Pandora unit began using a confusingly similar five-pointed star inside an “S” design mark in late 2023 for digital content curation, newsletters, podcasts, and media brokering services.
Screendollars claims it has used the mark since at least 2022 in connection with its own content-provisioning and advertising-brokering services and obtained a federal registration in late 2024. The complaint asserts that the parties operate in overlapping fields, increasing the likelihood of confusion among media buyers, sellers, and consumers.
The suit seeks monetary damages and a permanent injunction barring Sirius XM from further use of the disputed design. Screendollars contends that Sirius XM’s version is visually and stylistically too close to its own registered mark to coexist without causing marketplace confusion.
