Record Entries for Latin American IP Moot Court

19 June 2026

The International Trademark Association, in collaboration with the Andean Community Court of Justice and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, announced a record number of teams admitted to the sixth annual Latin American Intellectual Property Moot Court Law Competition. The announcement was made on June 17, 2026.

The competition provides law students across the region an opportunity to argue simulated cases involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, and other IP topics before panels of judges and practitioners. Organizers highlighted the growing interest in IP law education and professional development among students.

Admitted teams will prepare for oral arguments and written submissions on issues drawn from current regional IP disputes and policy questions. The event is scheduled to take place later in 2026.
