Mulholland Files Cybersquatting Suit Over Name-Based Domains
Paul Mulholland filed a four-count complaint on October 15, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey against Donald Emil Vollenweider, D&E Media, LLC, and John Does. The suit alleges that after a UDRP panel ordered transfer of domain names bearing his name to Mulholland, the defendants registered eight near-identical names that add an "e" to his name.
Counts include cybersquatting under 15 U.S.C. § 1125(d), cyberpiracy protection for individuals under 15 U.S.C. § 8131, and New Jersey claims for defamation and false light. Mulholland seeks transfer of the domains, damages, and injunctive relief. The case is No. 2:26-cv-13427.
