FoodieLand Sues Foodees Over Festival Mark Infringement

19 October 2026

FoodieLand LLC filed a four-count complaint on October 16, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against North Carolina-based Foodees LLC. The complaint alleges that the defendant's FOODEESFEST name and logo are confusingly similar to the plaintiff's registered FOODIELAND marks used for organizing community food festivals.

The suit claims Foodees copied elements of FoodieLand's website and that a Charlotte event held one week before a FoodieLand event caused actual consumer confusion. Counts include federal trademark infringement under 15 U.S.C. § 1114, false designation of origin under 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a), common law infringement and unfair competition, and violation of California Business and Professions Code § 17200.

FoodieLand seeks injunctive relief, damages, and other remedies. The case is No. 2:26-cv-12107.
