Delaware Court Advances Most Corteva IP Claims Against Inari

4 September 2026

On September 3, 2026, a Delaware federal court ruled that the majority of Corteva Agriscience's claims against Inari will move forward. The dispute involves seed intellectual property and is set for trial later in the month.

The court dismissed some claims but preserved core allegations concerning patents and related rights in agricultural biotechnology. Inari had sought broader dismissal of the case.

The decision keeps the bulk of the litigation intact, allowing discovery and other pretrial steps to continue. Corteva alleges infringement related to proprietary seed technologies.

Both companies are major players in the agricultural sector, and the outcome could affect licensing practices in crop genetics.
