Association of Corporate Counsel Sues AI Firm Over Trademark Use

12 September 2026

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in Delaware federal court against The L Suite, Inc., alleging unauthorized use of its marks and materials. The complaint, filed September 10, claims the AI developer catering to general counsel unlawfully uses ACC's protected trademarks and research content to promote its services.

ACC president and CEO Jason L. Brown stated that the organization has invested substantial resources in original research and educational content for in-house legal professionals. The suit alleges that The L Suite's use creates confusion among members and stakeholders who rely on the integrity of ACC's name and marks.

The case is pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. No response from the defendant has been detailed in initial filings. The dispute highlights growing tensions around trademark protection for professional associations in the AI services sector.
